- Member and actively involved at Forest Hill Church
- Born in CA, raised in MD

- Graduated in '86 from University of Virginia, BA with Distinction Environmental Science, Phi Beta Kappa
- Graduated in '89 from Texas A&M University, MS Geology (Hydrogeology/Engineering Geology)
- Professional Geologist in NC, SC, GA, AL, TX, and TN
- Married to Lisa with two children Joy and William
